Terms of use
Effective October 8, 2026
These terms govern use of ViaAccess: the member app, the technician app, the ViaAccess Identity panel, and the door readers linked to the place's account. The privacy policy explains how personal data is processed and is part of this agreement.
What the service does
ViaAccess controls passage through a place's doors. It does not replace a person watching the door, it is not a guaranteed alarm, and it does not secure the physical door, the lock, or the building network. Those belong to the place.
The member account is created by the manager. The member does not pay ViaLabs inside the app. The subscription, when there is one, belongs to the place.
Accounts
The member signs in with a link sent to the enrolled email. Do not forward that link or a passage QR.
Managers and technicians sign in with email and password. The password is personal. If the email exists at more than one place, the password is checked first and the place names appear after that.
Whoever administers the place is responsible for the records they create, including naming the right person and having authority to include that person's data.
Acceptable use
Use the system only at doors where you were authorized.
- Do not enroll someone else's face, card, or document without authority.
- Do not share a passage QR or a guest QR beyond what the place agreed.
- Do not try to bypass a reader, and do not use the technician app on a door you were not authorized to install.
- The technician sends the building Wi-Fi password only when the person who administers that network has allowed it.
Face, card, app, and QR
Face recognition is optional. A place that turns it on needs a lawful basis and another way in, such as the app, a QR, or a card, for anyone who does not want face recognition.
A guest QR lasts for the time the place sets. Whoever sends the invite is responsible for naming the right person.
Installation and the network
The technician app talks to the reader over Bluetooth or the setup network. The building Wi-Fi password goes to the reader and is not kept on the technician's cloud profile.
If the building internet drops, the reader can decide passage with the policy already stored on it. The record uploads when the connection returns. That does not cover a power cut, a hardware failure, or the lock.
Ownership
The software, the brand, and the panels belong to ViaLabs. The place's directory data remains the place's and the people's, under the privacy policy.
Suspension
The place's panel can be suspended if the subscription is not paid. We can also suspend access that breaks these terms or puts the door at risk, and we tell the manager when that is possible.
Liability
ViaLabs is liable as Brazilian law requires, including the consumer-protection code when it applies. We are not liable for a shared password or link, a Wi-Fi password sent without authority, the physical door, the lock, or use beyond what was hired. Nothing in these terms waives a right the law does not allow to be waived.
Law and changes
Brazilian law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, the court of your home applies, as consumer law provides.
If the terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to use the service after that counts as notice for an existing account. If a change needs fresh consent for face recognition, the place handles that with the person.
